Hey friends, welcome back to another biweekly update! We’ve got two big new features this week that we’re super excited to share. So without further ado, let’s dive right in!<h1>Handles: A new way to sign up or log in.</h1>At the end of January, we introduced user handles to make identification and connections easier and more secure. Now, we’re taking it a step further!<img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*54V4kccYlXqnDTgdCDEpzQ.png" alt="" width="700" height="700" loading="lazy">Handles can now be used to sign up or login to KryptoGO App and all other white label services.<ul><li>Existing users can log in with their handle. If you’ve set a password for your account, you can now use your handle to log in — no need authenticate via your phone or email.</li><li>New users can sign up with a handle. New users now have the option to sign up using a handle instead of phone or email verification. This provides a more private and anonymous way to create an account.</li></ul>However, there’s an important trade-off: There is no recovery option for handle-only accounts. If you sign up with just a handle and password, your password is the only way to access your wallet. If you forget it, there is no way to recover your wallet. Since KryptoGO App is a self-custodial wallet where users alone are in control of their assets, we cannot reset or retrieve lost passwords.As a deliberate design choice, handle-only accounts cannot be linked to a phone number or email afterwards maintain anonymity. However, we’re considering adding this as an option in the future if needed.We hope this gives users more flexibility and convenience in how they access their accounts while keeping security and privacy a top priority! If you want as little personally identifiable information linked to your web3 identity and wallet as possible, signing up using a handle can be the best choice.<h1>Group Chats: A Smarter Way to Transact Together.</h1>KryptoGO App is one of the only crypto wallets on the market with a fully functional built-in chatroom, allowing users to send and receive assets while communicating seamlessly. We’ve seen firsthand how valuable this feature is — whether it’s for confirming transaction details, clarifying context, or ensuring funds have gone through.But what if you need to do the same, with more than just one person?Well, say hello to Group Chats! We heard your feedback, and we’re making it easier than ever to coordinate transactions with multiple people. This means that only authenticated users — via biometrics or PIN — can access the conversation.<img src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*sa9t-rBMZ35jOXaui4jkiQ.png" alt="" width="700" height="700" loading="lazy">Group chats are encrypted by default.Group Chat Widgets All chat features, like requesting and sending crypto, work in Group Chats too. For example, you can request a payment from a specific member within the group.
