Hey friends, and welcome back to another biweekly update.It’s been two weeks since our big product launch, and with the event behind us, we’re back at it with the grind.For one, we’re consolidating feedback, collaboration opportunities, and feature requests that follow our product launch. We’re also continuously iterating and improving KryptoGO Studio.Two, our team attended Token 2049 Singapore for various super exciting Web3 and crypto opportunities. Follow our social media to glimpse all the juicy details…<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*n3f_1Vw7lEXFMPWzwPh2_g.png" alt="" loading="lazy">KryptoGO at Token2049!And from the mobile app team, I’m super excited to show ya’ll a big milestone feature that we’ve been tirelessly developing for our wallet app. Get your fingers warmed up and your thumbs twiddling, for today is the day we introduce to you: The Chatroom.&nbsp;<h1 style="margin-left:0px;">Chatroom Features</h1>As the name suggests, Chatroom is a series of chat-related social feaures that aims to bring together Web3 participants with similar interests to build new connections and thriving communities. The exact feature list varies based on which of our wallet apps you are using, so we’ll be going over each of them in turn.<h2 style="margin-left:0px;">Stickey Wallet Chatroom</h2>In Stickey Wallet, a wallet optimized for GameFi and blockchain gaming, we’re focusing on community building that centers around Web3 games and NFTs.To start, there is now a brand new Community Tab on the bottom navigation bar.<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*zcZDokthOT2i06uvoNzGJQ.png" alt="" loading="lazy">Community Tab on the bottom navigation bar.In the Communities Tab, there are two kinds of chatrooms available. First, there are public chatrooms, in which members are free to enter and leave at any given time.<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*ooyps5tjb-Caom9zk4QQbw.png" alt="" loading="lazy">This is a public chatroom. Anyone can enter or leave at any time.Once in a public chatroom, you can chat with other members in that same chatroom. When you leave the chatroom or go offline, you are no longer a member of that chatroom unless you rejoin again. Think of this like a live stream broadcast channel, such as Twitch or Instagram Live.<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*HHewl1Y1lsvc9l-r3UsUbA.png" alt="" loading="lazy">Users sending cute text faces in a public chatroom.The alternative to a public chatroom is a group chatroom. In a group chatroom, people that join are permanent members of that chatroom unless they explicitly leave the group. Think of this like a group chat in your favorite messaging app, such as Facebook Messenger, Line, or Telegram.<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*RiQ8n9wwmoH3WrhqlN5wOw.png" alt="" loading="lazy">This is a group chatroom.A Web3 specific feature: communities (chatrooms) can be set as token-gated, which is a fancy way of saying that users can only join these chatrooms if they hold a specific token or NFT in their wallet.This functions similarly to certain Discord communities that use third party tools to periodically verify their users’ assets.For example, large NFT projects such as BAYC and Azuki have member only channels in their Discord server that requires their members have a BAYC asset, or Azuki, respectively. We provide this same token-gated feature, except all this can be done natively in the wallet app, making it more intuitive and easy for users.<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*sww56RjlUp_F9v4sfvXw2A.png" alt="" loading="lazy">An example of a token-gated chatroom.The many benefits of using a token-gated community as a project owner include fostering higher engagement among token holders, creating a more tight-knit and safer space without spammers and scammers, and even potentially increasing the perceived value of the token because of its unique utility. KryptoGO provide the tools — we’re excited to see how project builders and community managers will utilize this feature.<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*lNq_1c7m_nz7Cxrz_OGJJg.png" alt="" loading="lazy">Users are required to verify certain tokens to join this community.We currently support sending both text and images, and plan to expand to support even more media types in the future. Common chatroom functionality that you’d expect (e.g. copying a message, recalling a message, reporting a user, and blocking a user) are also supported. If you are the admin/moderator of a chatroom, you can also pin messages, mute users, or ban users from a channel to prevent unwanted spam and malicious behavior.<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*7bcBNHuhgBFkGC6wY08N5Q.png" alt="" loading="lazy">Users can report and block other users, adhering to app store chatroom policy.<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*JibTS3u0Ajc_4cVj8QVY0A.png" alt="" loading="lazy">The admin/moderator of a channel can mute and ban users to prevent malicious behavior.We’ve also made considerable changes to the personal user profile in order for the profile page to work better with above mentioned chat room updates. You can see all the members of a chatroom that you have joined in the Chatroom detail page.<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*IE4gohRG7iwRNHlGg5RmTw.png" alt="" loading="lazy">Chatroom members are listed on the Chatroom Detail page.Click on another member’s avatar, and you’ll be redirected to their profile page, which includes their username, their personal bio, and their personal social media links that they have chosen to show to the public.<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*rqa9VjQ_Q-PZCcuw1pBmEw.png" alt="" loading="lazy">New profile pageOf course, it goes without saying that you can customize your own profile page with your own avatar, background, bio, and social media links!<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*b4YsLl48ZYMVXh63Tc-idg.png" alt="" loading="lazy">Edit and customize your profile page.With these community based chatrooms, we hope to help gaming and NFT projects build exciting new communities in Web3 directly inside of a crypto wallet, without resorting to Web2-only tools, yet make it user-friendly and intuitive enough such that new users onboarding to Web3 will still feel right at home.&nbsp;<h2 style="margin-left:0px;">KryptoGO Wallet Chatroom</h2>KryptoGO Wallet is first and foremost a wallet centered around easy asset management and user friendliness. Our account model allows for the transfer of assets without needing to know the other party’s wallet address (or even the correct blockchain), greatly simplifying the transaction process for Web3 newcomers.Before this update, you could already:<ul><li>send assets directly to a contact via telephone number or email, or</li><li>create a payment transaction request that produces a QR code for the other party to scan.</li></ul>With these innovative designs , it is a natural next step for us to integrate chat into this process to make it even more intuitive. And guess what? We’re here to deliver.We’ve added a new Chatroom Tab to the bottom navigation bar. It replaces the previous Contacts Tab while providing much more functionality.<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*VP7xvfvrRqXT65GhIVWnag.png" alt="" loading="lazy">Chatroom Tab on the bottom navigation bar.Unlike Stickey’s chatrooms, which are meant for groups of people, KryptoGO Wallet’s current chatrooms are one-to-one rooms. We envision the main use case here to be the facilitation of direct or over-the-counter (OTC) transactions (i.e., sending and receiving money without the supervision of an exchange), and perhaps showing off some cool transactions or NFTs to your friends.The chatroom mainly works as you’d expect it to. You can send messages back and forth with your contact. Similar to Stickey, we currently support both text and images to be sent. But that’s not all! You can also<ul><li>showcase NFTs that you own (i.e., flex those assets), or</li><li>display a transaction that you have done with your wallet.</li></ul><img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*VaX4pu3igCzhC_woSJ5zzw.png" alt="" loading="lazy">Showcase your NFTs, directly in chat.There are a number of quality-of-life optimizations implemented in KryptoGO Wallet chatrooms designed to make your life easier without you knowing it. The chat automatically searches and parses URLs, wallet addresses, and transaction hashes found in chat messages and displays them in such a way such that the user can easily redirect to a relevant wallet page or see more details about an otherwise confounding transaction hash.But perhaps the most important of features is that you can directly send a payment request to a contact, making it super easy to request money. Once they are done, they can reply with the transaction of them sending the money, showing the on-chain transaction record for proof of payment.<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*RdjLmeptKdBvNwRW2LBE1g.png" alt="" loading="lazy">Accepting a payment request and sending the on-chain transaction record, directly in chat.In theory, this makes crypto transaction between contacts as simple and easy as fiat transactions using services such as Line Pay or Paypal. We look forward to the day where you pay your portion of the lunch bill using KryptoGO Wallet , in cryptocurrency!&nbsp;<h1 style="margin-left:0px;">Security Updates</h1>Time and time again we’ve emphasized how much security and wallet safety means to us. Just last month, we’ve released The Keyless Wallet Update, using cryptographic multi-party computation and more specifically, Shamir’s Secret Sharing Scheme to break up a user’s private keys into multiple key shards (shares). The result? The users no longer need to memorize their own private keys and seed phrases should they so choose, and accounts are more resistant to hackers and social hacking attempts.This month, we’ve added two other features that improve the safety of our users’ assets. Usually, an update of this scope alone would warrant its own biweekly post, but given how long this week’s update has already turned out to be, let me just very quickly mention the changes.<h2 style="margin-left:0px;">Screenshot Detection and Warning</h2>When users take a screenshot containing sensitive information (e.g., their seed phrase of private key), a warning popup shows up.<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*7CmGKdWiBSVfDAbJbuib-g.png" alt="" loading="lazy">Screenshot detection and warning.<h2 style="margin-left:0px;">Wallet Risk Alerts</h2>Signing or approving of a transaction, but unsure of what it means? Worry no longer. Our wallet now automatically simulates DApp transaction results and check for transaction risk factors using top services such as MetaMask, Phantom, Blowfish, Solfare, PhishFort, and ScamSniffer. Risk alerts will pop up, helping users protect themselves against dangerous or malicious transactions, identifying and stopping fraud before it even happens.<img class="image_resized" style="width:680px;" src="https://miro.medium.com/v2/resize:fit:700/1*fwzhW6EDNSlmAIjX5PBsog.png" alt="" loading="lazy">Transaction risk alerts.&nbsp;That’s it for this week!Have feedback, or encountered any issues with any of our products?
